To unite in solidarity with one another as brothers and sisters of the same local church. To celebrate, enjoy, and be drawn closer to God by the beautiful and historic churches the Archdiocese of Philadelphia has to offer. To support the Parish communities that call these beautiful buildings home.
The first two Mass Mobs were held in March and June of 2014. The next will be held in the Fall of 2014; stay tuned for more info!
After a successful inaugural event at St. Francis Xavier, The Oratory, a vote was held to determine our second host: historic Sacred Heart of Jesus. Future events will also be determined by an online vote, so stay tuned and sign up to receive emails if you'd like to participate. If you're a Parish leader interested in hosting the next Mass Mob, get in contact with us!
You, me, everyone! Stay in touch by following us on social media and signing up for email updates; we'll let you know all the details about Mass Mob Philly.
How can I help?
First, sign up for emails, like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter. Second, let all your friends know: forward it, share it, tweet it, link to this page. If you’d still like to do more, get in contact with us.
Will you clear this with the Parish first?
Absolutely. We won’t “mob” a Parish without first working with the staff there to make sure they want us and can handle us.
How will the Parishes be chosen?
The first Mass Mob was held at St. Francis Xavier, The Oratory. We thank the Fathers and Parish staff at St. Franny's for working with us from the very beginning to help figure out the logistics of the first Mass Mob in Philadelphia. Multiple Parishes have expressed interest in hosting the next Mass Mob; future venues for Mass mobs will be put up for vote on social media. Details coming soon!
Can Mass Mob Philly come to my Parish?
If you think your Parish would be a good fit, please get in contact with us and let us know. We'll be in touch with you to see if we can work it out. All Mass Mobs will be planned collaboratively with the Parish staff, and can occur only with approval from the Parish leaders.
